After an early career as a secondary school teacher and as the Assistant Secretary of the Queensland Association of Teachers in Independent Schools, Tim Quinn served as an elected representative on Brisbane City Council for nineteen years. His Council responsibilities were as Ward Councillor for the Inner Southside, Chair of Urban Planning Committee, Deputy Mayor and Lord Mayor. His interests are in the areas of community development and land use planning.
