The inaugural NRMA Insurance Dancing in the Street event was held in July 2007 and since then, has seen thousands of Queenslanders attend the event hosted at South Bank's Little Stanley Street. As the shareholder of the Corporation, the Queensland Government is the sole owner of the land gazetted under the South Bank Corporation Act. This land is managed by the Corporation on behalf of the Queensland Government. Since its inception in 1989, South Bank has evolved to become a unique riverside lifestyle precinct that attracts more than nine million people each year.

BMD is a leading Australian owned engineering and urban development Company which operates under a diverse, yet integrated business model. Our partnership with BMD see's the delivery of events such as the annual BMD Beach Movie Daze in January each year.
Parmalat
Now in it's forth year the Vaalia Yoghurt Feel Good Program offers free fitness classes in Aqua Aerobics and Mind and Movement classes at the Parklands, South Bank.
Queensland Police Service (QPS)
The Corporation works very closely with QPS to ensure the safety and security of our millions of visitors each year. South Bank has a dedicated police station and together, the Corporation and QPS work hard to keep the Parklands safe.
Place Leaders Association
The Corporation is an active member of the Place Leaders Association, a non-profit association whose members are some of the leading place makers and place managers in the Australasian region. The PLA's mission is to actively promote leadership in the creation and stewardship of successful places throughout Australasia, which nurture vibrant communities.
