Disability Action Week is a time to celebrate diversity in our communities. This year's theme is 'Let's talk about it'.
The Disability Action Week Awards recognise individuals and organisations that have contributed to improving the quality of life of people with a disability in Queensland.
Nominations for this year's Awards have now closed. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in September.
In 2008 more than 90 nominations for the Disability Action Week Awards were submitted by Queenslanders. Thirteen winners were chosen and presented with their awards at a luncheon at the Sebel and Citigate King George Square.
