The Eastern Water Dragon can grow to up to 70cm long from head to tail and is common around water in Australia's eastern states. These powerful swimmers can remain under water for up to one hour. Males can quite easily be distinguished from females by their bright red chest and belly. The Eastern Water Dragon can live to be 15 years old. Please note that these dragons do not cause harm to visitors, however, we encourage visitors to keep their distance and allow them to roam freely in their natural habitat.
