Bush Turkey

Common along Australia's east coast, the Bush Turkey is a large mound-building bird that you can see in the garden beds through the Parklands. Bush Turkeys feeds on insects, seeds and fallen fruits by raking the leaf litter with its large feet. Bush Turkey chicks can fly only a few hours after hatching. Please note that these animals will not cause any harm to visitors, however, we advise that you observe from a distance.
