The BCEC is having a major makeover, which will be an enormous boost to the centre's long term success. The centre will be expanded along Grey Street boulevard and include an additional 24,000m2 floor space. This will provide the centre with the capacity to host an additional 250 events per annum and will increase the event space by 52%.
The new centre will boast 18 additional meeting rooms, a new ballroom, an extensive outdoor terrace as well as two state-of-the-art auditoriums, designed specifically for smaller events and a restaurant and retail space at ground level.
