First images of the planned new Brisbane headquarters for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) were unveiled on Tuesday 22 December 2009.
The ABC radio and television facilities, and the Queensland Symphony Orchestra (QSO), will re-locate to a site at the corner of Grey and Russell Streets, between the Queensland Performing Arts Centre and Griffith University's Queensland Conservatorium of Music, by early 2012.
The ABC will bring over 400 employees to the precinct, working within the ABC television and radio studios. These operations are currently located across several locations in Brisbane, so the ABC is excited to be bringing all of its services to one prime location.
