The river will unite South Bank with Brisbane's CBD, linking the precinct with the northern side of the river, the city's green spaces and commercial places and providing a vibrant platform for events and activities (South Bank Corporation Vision).
South Bank Corporation's vision of uniting the precinct with the northern side of the river came to fruition in 2005, when the precinct was recognised as part of the city centre in Brisbane City Council's Draft City Centre Master Plan.
The Corporation is committed to creating better linkages and connectivity between the north and south banks of the Brisbane River.
